Privacy Policy

Effective October 12, 2026. Lexy Forge is a language-learning service operated by Obsidian Lake Inc. (Delaware, United States). This notice explains what information the service uses and how to contact us.

Contact

For privacy inquiries, access, correction, account deletion, or questions about your data, contact support@lexyforge.com. Obsidian Lake Inc. is responsible for the processing described here. Company legal address: 131 Continental Dr, Suite 305, Newark, DE 19713, United States.

Information used to provide Lexy Forge

When you create or use an account, we process your email address, optional profile details, authentication information (including a stored password hash), account preferences, selected languages, vocabulary and learning materials, exercises, and learning progress. Family or invitation features may also involve invitation email addresses and account relationships.

We use this information to authenticate your account, provide and sync learning features, maintain your selected settings, and respond to support requests. Certain technical records may be used to keep the service operational, detect errors, and protect accounts.

Photos, AI features, and speech

If you choose photo-assisted vocabulary capture, an image you submit is sent to Google's Gemini API for analysis. Other AI-assisted learning features may send relevant learning text to Google Gemini for generation or analysis. Our Gemini API project uses Google's paid service tier. Under Google's terms for paid Gemini API services, Google does not use submitted prompts, images, or generated responses to improve its products; limited information may still be processed for service operation, security, and abuse prevention under those terms. Images may contain personal information: avoid uploading sensitive documents or photographs you do not have permission to share. AI suggestions can be inaccurate.

Speech exercises use on-device speech recognition where supported. Technical speech-recognition diagnostics may be sent to our server (for example language, recognizer details, timing and evaluation results); our speech diagnostics do not store the audio recording itself.

Payments and service providers

If you purchase a subscription, payment and subscription operations use Stripe. Our application also relies on infrastructure and service providers, including hosting and data storage, Cloudflare services for assets and email routing, Google for AI and optional analytics, and SMTP2GO for support-email delivery. Providers may process data as needed for their respective services and under their applicable terms.

Some providers may process information outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where required, transfers are subject to an applicable legal mechanism, such as an adequacy decision (including the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for participating organizations) or standard contractual clauses, as appropriate to the provider and transfer. For information about a specific transfer or applicable safeguards, contact us at support@lexyforge.com.

Legal grounds

We process account and learning information to provide the service you request; certain billing and recordkeeping activities may be required by law; appropriate security and operational processing may be based on legitimate interests; and optional website analytics is based on your choice. The applicable ground depends on the particular processing activity and local law.

Offline storage and cookies

The app uses device storage, including IndexedDB and cached assets, so some lessons and learning history can work offline and synchronize later. Essential authentication cookies support signed-in sessions. Read our Cookies and storage notice for more information.

Optional website analytics

We use Google Analytics on our marketing pages only after you accept optional analytics. This may involve page visits, browser and device data, and interactions with the website. Rejecting analytics does not prevent use of the landing page. You can change or withdraw your choice here at any time.

Checking your current choice…

Retention and deletion

Your account details, vocabulary, exercises, and learning progress are generally kept while your account remains active. When you delete individual learning items, examples, or themes, records marked for deletion become eligible for permanent removal after 7 days. Speech-recognition diagnostic records become eligible for deletion after 30 days. These cleanup tasks are scheduled daily, so actual removal occurs after the applicable period during a successful cleanup run.

Expired or revoked refresh tokens are also removed by a scheduled cleanup task. We retain support correspondence, technical logs, backups, and payment-related records only as needed for the relevant operational, security, or legal purposes; their retention periods may depend on our providers and applicable obligations. Deleting active records does not necessarily remove the same information immediately from backups.

Account deletion is handled manually on request. To request deletion of your account and associated personal information, or to request access to your information, email support@lexyforge.com. We may verify account ownership before acting. We respond without undue delay and generally within one month, subject to applicable legal exceptions. Some billing or other records may need to be retained where required by law. Copies stored locally on your devices may remain until you clear the app's local storage or remove the app.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, request portability, and withdraw consent. You may also be entitled to complain to a competent data-protection authority. Contact us using the email above to exercise your rights.

Children and family features

Family features may involve linked accounts. Parents or guardians who have questions about a young person's information should contact support. Availability and consent requirements depend on the user's location and applicable law.

Changes

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the service, providers, or legal requirements. The effective date above identifies this version.
